Google brings a new system to Android that will remind you to update a crashed app. According to Mishaal Rahman, Esper’s senior technical editor, if any app stops working, users will be shown the message “Update the app to fix crashing issues. The app stopped working, but the update may have fixed this issue. Update the app and open it again later”.
Of course, we should see this system not as a solution but as a recommendation mechanism. If you are currently running the latest version and it still crashes then this system will be useless at all. Still, crashing issues can often be fixed with a simple update, so this system is thought to be useful.
According to Google’s support page, the new system will be available this week with version 33.2 of the Google Play Store app.
