Is the era of Evernote ending?
Evernote, which stepped into the mobile world as a note-taking application, has improved a lot in the meantime and went beyond note-taking. Evernote, which achieved significant growth in a short time and reached a total valuation of $ 1.2 billion, had over 220 million subscribers and achieved the highest revenue figures in its history.
However, things started to go wrong as of 2016. Mobile applications that could not be freed from errors, the subscription system that did not deliver what was expected, the collaboration feature that came too late, and fast-growing competitors began to force the company. The senior executives who left their jobs and the financing that fell short of expectations in the funding rounds were the spice of the business.
According to a statement made this week, the Evernote platform has been acquired by Italy-based Bending Spoons. Bending Spoons is best known for visual editing applications such as Splice and Remini. The purchase price has not been disclosed, but Evernote will continue to evolve under its new roof for now.
