Activision is preparing for Call of Duty: Vanguard, the new FPS game set during the Second World War. This time, you have to defeat a Nazi commander who wants to bring the Fourth Reich.
Speaking during New York Comic Con, Call of Duty: Vanguard writer Sam Maggs made some important remarks about his future plans and creating memorable characters. In a nutshell, Maggs’ words were: ‘How do we make iconic COD characters? When you think of a game like Halo, you think of Master Chief, but when you think of COD, there aren’t any characters that can truly be iconic. We want to bring our flagship COD characters to life with Vanguard. We also want to do Vanguard 2 and Vanguard 3 because we have two other stories we want to tell with these characters. ”
From these words, we can deduce that CoD: Vanguard will be the first ring and we will see new Vanguard games that will feature the characters in the game. Maybe these new characters will be as memorable as Master Chief, but time will tell. Call of Duty definitely needs memorable heroes, that’s for sure.
