Battlefield 2042, the latest game of Battlefield, the war game series that pushed the limits of EA Games’ favorite Frostbite game engine, was arguably the most unsuccessful game in the series. So much so that the game was the game with the most negative reviews, and EA admitted that Battlefield 2042 was a disappointment.

On top of all these negativities, Battlefield 2042 is coming to Xbox GamePass and EA Play as soon as it was announced, although not too long after its release. If you are considering purchasing a GamePass subscription for Battlefield 2042, we have one more good news.

Battlefield 2042 will be free to play on all platforms for one weekend in December!

In an update video released by the Battlefield 2042 development team, it was announced that players will have the chance to try it out for a free weekend on all platforms in December.

The free weekend dates that will come with the game’s 3rd season, Escalation, will be as follows:

  • Xbox: December 1-4
  • PC: December 1-5
  • PlayStation: December 16-23

Even Battlefield 1, released in 2016, given for free this year with Amazon Prime, and recently had a significant discount on Steam, has more players than Battlefield 2042, unfortunately it is inevitable that EA will want to watch such moves.
