Microsoft’s Windows 11 22H2 update was generally available last month and brought a few new features and bug fixes. However, shortly after the release of the Windows 11 22H2 update, Nvidia users in particular started complaining about low and unstable frame rates and lags in games. Nvidia had released a driver update that fixed these issues. However, Microsoft has decided to stop the Windows 11 22H2 update to solve the problem from the root.
Microsoft stated that it is aware of the complaints received. Microsoft has announced that it will take steps to limit potential performance issues for Windows 11 users who have not yet downloaded the latest update. Microsoft acknowledges the issue some time ago, with the explanation that “Some games and applications may experience lower-than-expected performance or stuttering on Windows 11, version 22H2.”
Windows 11 22H2 update stopped
Windows 11 22H2 update accidentally enables GPU debugging features on some systems and games/applications that are not intended for end-user use. Therefore, this situation causes high performance loss experienced by the players. The company has stopped the Windows 11 22H2 update until it fixes the problems. Upgrade from the current version of Windows 11 to version 22H2 will not be possible until the issues are resolved.
Microsoft also recommends that users do not attempt to manually upgrade using the Update now button or the Installation Media Creation Tool. If you are currently on Windows 11 22H2 and you are experiencing performance problems, it is recommended that you update the application and game you are having problems with to the latest version. Likewise, it is recommended to upgrade the video card drivers to the current version.
