Electronic Arts, the money-matched company of the game world, recently announced that it has developed a technology that distinguishes good players from bad players and offers them different control settings, but did not specify when it will be integrated into games.
The company again comes up with a system that interests the players. With the new patent received by EA Games, it seems that it aims to root out malicious players. Let’s take a look at the details together.
New system will automatically detect bots and cheaters
The resulting patent from WIPO is called “Automatic detection of emergent behavior in interactive factors of an interactive environment.” So what does this mean?
Essentially it’s a cool explanation of an AI that uses a machine learning-based clustering algorithm to group users according to their behavioral similarities.
That is, this system will recognize player behaviors and categorize players by determining which behaviors are most common in a game, as well as how many players exhibit these behaviors. For example, if you started using cheats later in the game, the algorithm will be able to detect you by comparing your behavior before and after cheating and you will be banned.
