After Microsoft bought Activision, the eyes turned to Microsoft for Call of Duty, which is also available on the PlayStation platform. Because, by some, Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision was interpreted that the famous series would no longer be on the PlayStation platform. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer put the end to these discussions with his statement.

Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, said in an interview: “As long as there’s a PlayStation on sale, our goal is to continue to ship Call of Duty to PlayStation. Similar to what we’ve done with Minecraft, since we have Minecraft Since then we’ve expanded the places where people can play Minecraft. We haven’t reduced those places, and I think that’s good for the Minecraft community. I want to do the same for Call of Duty. Call of Duty will be available specifically on PlayStation. I’d love to see it on Switch, it’s playable on many different screens I’d love to see it. Our goal is to treat Call of Duty like Minecraft.”

Call of Duty fans have been debating whether to make the game Xbox exclusive since Microsoft bought Activision for $68.7 billion. Spencer, with his statement, thus put an end to these discussions.
