READING NOW Google Chrome Updated: Here Are New Features

Google Chrome, the world’s most popular internet browser, has been updated. With the published update, the browser introduced two new features that can both change your internet usage habits and keep your money in your pocket.

The first of Chrome’s new features is that it provides great convenience to users who open a lot of new tabs while surfing the internet and do a Google search. The second feature prevents those who follow the prices of the products they will buy online from chasing discounts one by one. Here are the details shared about the new features of Chrome…

Google search turns into a Chrome extension

Chrome users will now see a button with the phrase ‘open a search in the side panel’ at the end of the address bar with web addresses starting with ‘www’. When you click this button, a small section will open on the right side of the screen and you can perform a Google search in this section.

So what will this feature do? There are two things we can do when we come across something that we do not know or wonder about while browsing the internet; We will either open a new tab and do a Google search there, or leave the page we are on by searching within the current tab. With the new feature, we will be able to perform a Google search without opening a new tab or leaving the open page.

For example; While reading a content on Webtekno, when you come across a term whose meaning you do not know, you can search on the side screen without leaving the content and continue reading the content after learning the meaning of the term.

Chrome will warn you when the price of the products you follow drops!

Another feature that came with the latest version of Chrome was Price Tracking. With this feature, you can follow the products you are considering buying or just wondering about the price, and you can have Chrome notify you when the price of the product in question changes, or let Google notify you by e-mail.

Note: When we wanted to test the feature in question, we were unable to access it. However, since the release phase of the update takes time, we may have to wait a little longer to use it.

QR code support for password synchronization has arrived

Users will now be able to access the passwords they saved in Google Chrome more easily. The synchronization process will be completed quite simply with the QR code to be read through the Android or iOS version of Google Chrome.

Tabs pinning feature added

After that you will be able to pin the tabs you have open in Google Chrome. To do this, just right-click on the tab and activate the “Pin” option.
