Maserati, the small automobile factory founded by Ernesto, Ettore and Alfieri Maserati at the end of 1914, today produces some of the world’s best-known luxury cars. The Italian giant, which has produced legends such as the Ghibli, MC12 and Quattroporte throughout its history, introduced its first all-electric cars Grecale Folgore and GranTurismo Folgore in the past months.
Of course, Maserati thought of more than two vehicles for the electric car world and rolled up its sleeves to produce its new car, the GranCabrio Folgore, which stands out for being both electric and convertible. Today, this new car was seen on the roads for the first time.
A 1200 horsepower electric beast
In the images shared by Maserati today, he shared the first test images of the new GranCabrio Folgore. In fact, this model, which is exactly the same as the GranTurismo Folgore, draws attention with its convertible design.
When we look at the technical features of the vehicle, we see that each engine of the car, which consists of 3 electric motors, one in the front, one in the middle and one in the rear, provides 402 horsepower. The total power of the car was stated as 1,206 horsepower and 1,350 Nm of torque. The GranCabrio Folgore, which is offered for sale with an 83 kWh usable battery, is designed to provide 751 horsepower continuously until its battery runs out.
The 0-100 km/h time of the vehicle is only 2.7 seconds. The final speed of this state-of-the-art vehicle is limited to 319 km/h.
Although there is no information about the interior design of the GranCabrio Folgore, it is claimed that the vehicle will be introduced in 2023. The price of the vehicle remains a mystery.
