Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse mocked Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong’s statement of “tribalism”.

In an interview with Bitcoin bull Anthony Pompliano, Armstrong expressed his dislike for tribalism in the crypto industry. Garlinghouse, on the other hand, does not seem to like this comment.

Ripple CEO Mocking Armstrong

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that there is a need for more collaboration between projects and that he does not like tribalism in the cryptocurrency industry. According to him, this situation constitutes a major obstacle to the increase of economic freedom.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse does not seem to find this statement sincere. According to Garlinghouse, Armstrong is among those who support tribalism in the crypto industry.

Following the SEC’s lawsuit against Ripple, Coinbase announced that it had delisted XRP. This led to Armstrong being seen as a major XRP enemy. This move contradicts Armstrong’s statement that “more collaboration between projects is needed”.

Despite this, the CEO of Coinbase recently spoke out in favor of Ripple regarding the lawsuit between the SEC and Ripple.

The disagreement between the SEC and the CFTC on Ethereum was also on Armstrong’s agenda. Armstrong stated that the pressure on Ethereum was unacceptable and therefore drew the reaction of the XRP community.

As it is known, Ethereum and XRP communities can come face to face on social media from time to time. Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin described XRP as a “shitcoin”.
