Samsung’s profit continues to fall
According to the third quarter figures of 2022, Samsung has reached record revenue figures. However, the falling profit figures make the company think. The South Korean producer, which has an income of 54 billion dollars with an increase of 4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, is experiencing a significant decrease in terms of profit.
The company, which earned $ 7.6 billion between July and September, has experienced a decrease of 23 percent compared to the second quarter. On the other hand, considering the same quarter of 2021, the company’s loss of profit reaches 26 percent.
According to the figures shared by the company, Samsung’s foldable devices Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 have achieved significant sales figures. In addition, Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Buds2 Pro are among the products that bring a significant profit to the company.
These phones also seem to have made significant returns to the Samsung Display division. On the other hand, it is observed that Samsung Display’s profit has halved for the TV and monitor segments.
Samsung is expected to be tough for the fourth quarter as well. With macroeconomic instability and geopolitical issues, Samsung may also face trouble in the last part of the year. On the other hand, there may be a significant increase in sales with Christmas.
The company plans to increase its tablet sales in the coming period in order to increase its profitability. In addition, it is aimed to continue the double-digit growth in wearable devices. Samsung also plans to improve the S-Pen experience and increase revenues.
