Ripple’s Chief Engineer Nik Bougalis is Leaving the Company
Ripple chief engineer Nik Bougalis is leaving the company as XRP turns ten to open up new horizons for himself. Bougalis, who did not share his personal goals in his statement, also stated that he would not join another Blockchain or Web3 firm.
Nik Bougalis tweeted:
Bougalis oversaw a number of developments in the ledger’s codebase, including the introduction of NFTs scheduled for release in November.
Bogalis’ departure came while Ripple was in the testing phase of an XRP Ledger project compatible with Ethereum-based smart contracts. This technology could allow developers familiar with Ripple’s larger Ethereum Virtual Machine software to share their code with Ripple.
