Bit2Me Acquires Software Development Company Dekalabs

Bit2Me, the first firm to be licensed as a crypto services provider by the Bank of Spain, said it has acquired blockchain and crypto-focused software development firm Dekalabs.

The firm said in a statement that the acquisition will strengthen Bit2Me’s position in helping companies and institutions develop tools on blockchain protocols such as cryptocurrency, Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Saying that the company plans to add 250 employees despite the challenging conditions in the crypto industry, CEO Leif Ferreira gave the following words on the subject:

“In many layoff contexts, now is the time to hold and build. No matter how low prices fall, crypto will not stop.”

Crypto exchange Bit2Me had invested in cooperation with Telefonica. More details on the investment will emerge in the coming weeks. The financial terms of the acquisition of Dekalabs were not disclosed.
