It is not possible to ignore the popularity of electric cars, especially Tesla, in recent years. However, hydrogen car brands managed to be the center of attention of the Paris Motor Show. The vehicles of brands such as Hopium, Alpine and NamX, which can reach a range of 1000 km, arouse curiosity.
Hydrogen car wind with a range of 1000 km in Paris
Founded by the winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most famous sports races in the world, Hopium exhibited its hydrogen fueled vehicle called Machina. Lombard, CEO of Hopium, stated that Machina’s most powerful fuel cell can reach 200 kW.
Another remarkable brand of the Paris Motor Show was NamX. NamX HUV, which appeals to the upper segment, can reach a maximum speed of 250 km / h and can travel 800 km. According to the company’s statement, 500 km of the route is supplied from the main tank, and the rest from removable “CapX” capsules filled with hydrogen.
According to the announcement at the fair, the NamX HUV will have six capsules, each with a range of 50 km. It was also stated that these capsules can be changed in CapXstores to be installed from 2026.
Another vehicle in the fair is Citroen’s light commercial van. The vehicle with a 4 kg tank capacity is equipped with a hybrid system consisting of hydrogen and electric power. Citroen stated that the light commercial car has reached a range of 400 km and the battery, which provides a range of 50 km, is charged by the fuel cell.
The most striking vehicle of the Paris Motor Show was the Alpenglow sports car. Developed by the French manufacturer Alpine, this concept vehicle is powered by an internal combustion engine running on hydrogen. The single-seater is intended to set an example for the lightweight electric sports vehicle category.
