ChainSafe, a Web3 infrastructure firm, has raised $18.75 million in a Series A funding round to develop Web3 gaming services.
ChainSafe Completes Financing Round
ChainSafe has completed its funding round to strengthen its blockchain-based gaming infrastructure. The funding round was led by Round 13. Firms such as NGC Ventures, HashKey Capital, Sfermion and Jsquare participated in the financing round, called the A series.
ChainSafe’s focus is the gaming-related Web3 Blockchain infrastructure. The company’s best named project is web3.unity, which integrates games with Blockchain technology using the Unity development engine.
While the company’s focus is still relatively new, there are some promising prospects for it in the future. According to DappRadar data, the proportion of apps (dapps) without a game center accounted for 60 percent of all Blockchain activity in July this year. This tells us that the remaining 40 percent is game-based work.
With the new investment, ChainSafe plans to accelerate product development and expand its team, which currently has around 120 offices in Toronto, Berlin and Zagreb.
