FTX US, the US arm of FTX, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, and the founder of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, are being investigated by Texas’ securities regulator.
Texas Regulator Targets FTX US
This investigation, initiated by Texas’ securities regulator, marks another step in the regulators’ activities towards the cryptocurrency industry.
The investigation was detailed in a filing for Voyager Digital’s bankruptcy case by Texas State Securities Board official Joe Rotunda.
“The Executive Office is currently investigating executives including FTX Trading, FTX US and Sam Bankman,” the file prepared by Rotunda states.
