New claims have been made about the screen of Apple’s 11-inch iPad Pro model. It is stated that the 2022 model iPad Pro will include an LED Liquid Retina panel, similar to previous models. Previous leaks showed that Apple would switch to mini-LED.
11-inch iPad Pro won’t have a mini-LED display
Technology industry analyst Ross Young said that Apple made a last-minute change to the iPad Pro screen. In his post on Twitter, he said that the 11-inch iPad Pro will not have a mini-LED display, contrary to expectations. It will come with an LED Liquid Retina display.
Mini-LED, which is a much more advanced and long-lasting display technology compared to LED Retina, is currently used in 12.9-inch iPad Pros. It was thought that 11-inch versions from 2022 would also use this panel. But Ross Young made a statement that upset Apple fans.
There are no big differences between the screens of the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros. However, the high dynamic range of the mini-LED at 12.9 inches allows the tablet to display much higher brightness and more real blacks.
The new iPad Pro models are expected to be powered by a new chipset, thought to be the M2, and come with some battery improvements. In addition, Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman thinks that the last Apple event of the year will take place this month.
The famous analyst also announced that an entry-level tablet will be introduced in addition to the M2 iPad Pro. The iPad Air, which will come with the A14 Bionic processor, will have 5G support and USB-C connection. Other information about the other features and price of the iPad Pro and iPad Air is not available for now.
