Pixel 7 Pro’s screen is seriously draining battery
Reportedly, one of the XDA editors discovered that the Pixel 7 Pro’s battery drops by 10 percent within fifteen minutes when the screen brightness is increased. While it’s normal for battery consumption to increase with screen brightness nowadays, XDA’s tests show that the Pixel 7 Pro’s display consumes much more power than other phones at high brightness levels.
Shared reports state that the Pixel 7 Pro’s power consumption is between 3.5 and 4 Watts at 600 nits of brightness. However, when the maximum brightness of 1500 nits is reached, this value goes up to 6W and causes a significant battery consumption.
If we make a short comparison, with a power consumption of 4W, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra reaches 1000 nits, while the Pixel 6 Pro reaches 800 nits. For this reason, we can say that the problem in question only occurs on the Pixel 7 Pro. No statement has been shared from Google yet.
