Nvidia confirmed the rumors
The new change, first noticed by a Reddit user named Timbers007, was also approved by users who tested Nvidia’s new driver update. Responding to PCMag after the rumors surfaced, an Nvidia spokesperson confirmed that the company has removed the “Lite Hash Rate” limiter, with the statement “We don’t believe it’s necessary in the current environment.”
Although Nvidia aims to reduce the demand from miners with LHR cards, third-party developers have managed to break the lock system many times. Today, with the transition of Ethereum to the proof-of-stake model, we can say that the need for LHR has disappeared and the problems in the graphics card industry have begun to end.
