PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, or more commonly known as PUBG, has gained a solid place in the game world since the first day of its release, with the game being embraced by the masses. PUBG is also one of the most profitable and most watched games in e-sports.
According to the new leak made by PlayerIGN, which has made very consistent leaks about PUBG before, it seems that the continuation of the popular game will come in the next year. The sequel is expected to cover the computer version, not the mobile version.
There is no official statement about PUBG 2 yet
According to PlayerIGN’s leaks on Twitter, the developers continue to work on the new version of the popular battle royal. In the now-deleted post, PlayerIGN stated that PUBG Amsterdam is hiring for a new AAA Unreal Engine ‘an unknown project’, and in a recent Nvidia leak, there is a WIP Krafton game called ‘X1’.
Previously, a professional PUBG player named DrasseL asked PlayerIGN, who accidentally leaked the news about PUBG 2, whether the PUBG game to be produced for the computer would be PUBG: New State set in 2051. In response to DrasseL’s question, PlayerIGN said that New State is only for mobile experience and that they should wait until 2022 for PUBG 2 to be produced for computer or console.
Although there is no official news about a possible PC and console game after the release of PUBG: New State, this is; It doesn’t mean that the company won’t announce the same for other platforms later on.
Although we do not know for now how accurate the leaks are; Considering that nothing is official yet, we think it would be more appropriate to approach these news with a little skepticism.
