MediaTek, which entered the market with its factory opened in Taiwan in 1997, has managed to increase its popularity in recent years. The company, which has accomplished successful works with the processors it has produced especially for smartphones, has started to regain its lost market share with the arrival of smartphones.

The manufacturer, which has managed to stay in the entry and middle segments of the smartphone market, has set its sights high with the new Dimensity family. With the Dimensity 1000 series, MediaTek, which is loved by users especially for bringing features such as 5G to mid-segment devices, winks at its rivals by finding its place in flagship devices that have not been mentioned for a long time, with the new Dimensity 2000 series.

MediaTek increased its sales revenues by 26.5 percent!

MediaTek announced the company’s financial report for September 2021 last week. The company put a smile on the face of investors after a long hiatus, with annual sales revenue of 47,906 billion New Taiwan dollars (US$1.71 billion). Many users liken this to the rise of AMD, which dominated the processor market at the time, lagging behind Intel for many years and then catching up with Ryzen processors.

According to the financial statement announced, the company achieved a significant growth of 26.5 percent compared to its sales revenue in September 2020. In addition, there is a monthly growth of 11.9%. Given these ratios, it shows that the company has set its sights on the top. Moreover, even the data reflecting only the first three quarters (9 months) of this year has exceeded the expected sales figures for the whole of 2020.

The company’s total sales revenue for the third quarter of 2021 was NZ$131,174 billion (US$4.7 billion). This represents an increase of 4.3 percent compared to the previous quarter. However, according to the data of the third quarter of last year, there is a growth of 34.7 percent. On the other hand, total sales revenue for the first 3 quarters (first 9 months) was NZ$364,760 billion (US$13 billion), a massive 61.5 percent year-on-year increase. In the coming months, the company is expected to announce its expected sales plans for the fourth quarter and 2022.
