Google continues to develop new features to help users manage how much RAM Chrome consumes and how it affects battery life. The internet giant, which is working to increase the efficiency of its browser and add a new performance page, seems to release one of these features in the near future.
With the new feature, Chrome will now be able to tell users exactly how much RAM each “sleep” tab is allocating for more important tasks. Chrome’s “Memory Saver” feature will stay as a dedicated button on the taskbar. Pressing this button will reveal a small window with a link to actual memory savings and performance settings.
With this new feature, Google also aims to prevent its browser from being seen as a memory monster.
