In many countries, the person who creates an original work recorded on physical media owns the copyright to that work. The copyright holders also have the rights to use the work. So is it a crime to upload someone else’s video to YouTube? In some cases, it is possible to use a copyrighted work without violating the copyright of the owner. First of all, it is necessary to share with the permission of the video owner. Video content can be shared on YouTube if necessary permissions are obtained.
In case of violation of copyright, the person who shares the video without permission is reported to the Youtube platform. In violation of copyright, the person who applies for copyright infringement of the Youtube Platform can take the other party to court in various ways within the scope of FSEK.
A person who uses a work, performance, phonogram or production within the scope of FSEK without the written consent of the right holders may be sentenced to imprisonment from one year to five years or a judicial fine.
