Karsan, the heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer, which was established in 1966 and has achieved worldwide success for years, added a new one to its list of awards. The company, which plays a role in Europe with its minibuses and buses, was awarded the “Sustainable Bus of the Year” award.
Karsan’s bus model, which won the “Sustainable Bus of the Year” award in Europe, became the 100% electric e-ATA 12 model. The award was also given to the Iveco Bus Crossway LE Hybrid CNG and Iriar i6S Efficient models together with Karsan e-ATA.
Karsan achieved steady growth in Europe:
Karsan CEO Okan Baş, in his statement at the award ceremony, shared that they achieved a stable growth in Europe thanks to the steps they took. The CEO emphasized that they are taking their European targets further, and lastly, they are taking firm steps towards the target with the tender they won for the public transport systems of the city of Bologna.
Introduced in October 2021, the electric bus Karsan e-ATA was launched with 10, 12 and 18 meter options. The 12-meter e-ATA offers a range of 450 kilometers with a full charge capacity and can carry approximately 89 passengers. The electric motor of the vehicle offers 250 kW of power and 22 thousand Nm of torque.
