Now, Apple’s decision has once again been a lawsuit. Brazilian authorities claimed that Apple was “imposing” at this point and fined the company. According to the decision from the court in Sao Paulo, Apple was fined $ 19 million. It was also stated that the next batches to be sent to the country should have a charger.

According to Apple, the main reason for simplifying the box contents is to reduce carbon emissions. In other words, the company took this decision citing environmental reasons. But Brazil hardly believes this to be the case. In a statement made by Apple, it was stated that the decision was not correct and would be appealed.

Brazil has taken similar steps in the past. Brazilian consumer protection authorities argue that iPhone boxes should have a charger. The courts, which had previously fined Apple in this regard, decided to stop Apple’s iPhone sales in the country last month.
