Cybersecurity is an ever-evolving field where organizations and manufacturers race to upgrade their software and hardware with the latest security updates, while malicious actors try to circumvent them. Despite the development of new defense techniques on a global scale, cyber hackers find a way to circumvent them, and Microsoft is targeting Russia with a sharp language in its new statement.
Microsoft, in its annual Digital Defense Report covering the period between July 2020 and June 2021, published, provides statistical evidence that Russia constitutes 58 percent of the source of major cyber attacks, while a significant portion of these cyber attacks target government institutions.
Turkey in the Report
In Microsoft’s statement, it is stated that the largest observed volume of attacks after Russia comes from North Korea, Iran and China, while South Korea, Turkey (new participants in the report) and Vietnam are also active, but the volume is very small.
