WhatsApp announced that it would update its privacy and security agreement in early 2021 and stipulated accepting the new agreement in order to continue using the application. In the contract, which received a great response, it was stated that some data would be shared with Facebook. After the reaction of users, WhatsApp backed down and stopped enforcing this contract.
