Since the beginning of the pandemic in 2019, there has been a general confusion in the automotive industry. While acquisitions and cooperation agreements are announced between companies, problems such as disruptions in the supply chain and the chip crisis are being tackled.

Tesla, one of the pioneers of the electric car industry, seems to have been unaffected by this situation in the last quarter. The company, which had a weak second quarter of the year, managed to break a sales record in the third quarter of the year.

Tesla managed to sell 383 thousand 830 cars

According to the report on the automotive giant’s website, a total of 383,830 automobiles were sold in the third quarter of the year. While 18 thousand 672 of these sales consisted of Model S and Model X sales, Model 3 and Model Y sales were announced as 325 thousand 158. It is stated that there are 20 thousand cars in the warehouses of the company.

On the other hand, according to Tesla’s statement, the delivery of these vehicles is incomplete. In the report, it was stated that the vehicles will be delivered to their destinations by the end of the period and their deliveries will be completed. Tesla also mentioned the difficulty of making deliveries at affordable prices in this period of intense logistics. Last year, Elon Musk said that Tesla should stop accelerating production from their work and instead focus on finding ways to minimize transportation costs.

Tesla, which managed to make more sales in each quarter for two years, saw a decrease in sales figures after the serious Covid cases in the Shanghai factory in the last quarter. As Shanghai reopened, the Texas and Berlin plants also started production.

Elon Musk announced at Tesla’s AI Day event that 160,000 Tesla users now have full autonomous driving beta access.
