The lifeguard drone, which was put into use by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, provides rapid assistance to people in danger of drowning. The drone transmits the life jacket on the person in danger of drowning in seconds.

The drone, which has four propellers and a camera, can take off again even if it falls into the sea. It can fly in bad weather conditions. With the acceleration of the response process, it is aimed to reduce the loss of life.
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Coastal Management Branch Manager Kemal Özgün gave the following information about the device:
“A life jacket that we attach to the trigger mechanism is able to go to the drowning case by following it with a camera and leave the life jacket to the drowning person or the person in need at that moment. Even if it falls into the sea, it can get up again ready for duty, both under the control of ships and sea vehicles, but also in very bad weather conditions. We have a drone that can handle drownings.”
