As the 13th Gen Intel Raptor Lake processors’ release date approaches, new information has emerged including the performance of the flagship model of the series, the i9-13900K. As it is known, Intel opened the curtain of new processors last week. Accordingly, the new processor, which will host 24 cores and a boost frequency of 5.4 GHz, will be able to reach speeds of up to 5.8 GHz with the Thermal Velocity Boost technology specific to the i9 series.
New single core leader!
This huge frequency boost for the 13th Gen has already shown itself in leaked tests. According to PassMark listings, the new flagship scores 4833 points, 9.5 percent higher than Alder Lake’s top model i9-12900KS. In multi-core rankings, AMD’s current flagship Ryzen 9 5950X is also ahead of 18.7 percent.
In addition to the new flagship, PassMark lists also include i7-13700, i5-13500 and i5-13400 models. However, data on these processors is currently insufficient. On the other hand, there is still no sign of the AMD Ryzen 7000 series in the lists. Considering that the new generation AMD processors will be released a month before Raptor Lake, we can say that this is a bit interesting.
