Users who have purchased a new iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max may encounter a strange problem: This problem, called uncontrollable lens movement, is seen in videos and complaints posted on the Internet. Some users say their camera shakes and even makes a terrible squeaking sound. The problem occurs when opening the camera in a third-party app like Instagram, Snapchat or TikTok.
Apple YouTuber Luke Miani posted a video to Twitter showing how the iPhone 14 Pro Max camera flickers when using Snapchat, thus making the photo completely blurry. You can also clearly hear a buzzing or clicking noise coming from the lens, which is really unpleasant to the ear. You can watch the video below:

The issue doesn’t seem to affect the iPhone’s own camera app for now. This suggests that the problem is not with Apple hardware, but with the software of third-party applications. Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok may have to review their software to fix this issue.
Apple and other social media companies have not yet made an official statement about this problem.
