Ethereum Name Service Company Recovers Its Domain Name

Ethereum Name Service (ENS), which provides domain name service on the Ethereum network, won the fight for its own domain name.

True Names Ltd., the parent company of ENS. announced that it has regained control of the eth.link domain name. In the case that was taken to court, True Names and GoDaddy faced off. Stating that the domain name belonged to them but GoDaddy ended it, True Names regained eth.link with the decision of the court.

True Names Satisfied with Court Result

The company sued GoDaddy for selling their domain name to third parties, citing The Block statements. GoDaddy previously sold the eth.link domain name to Dynadot, while the Dynadot company sold this domain name to Manifold. In the case that was brought to the court, these two companies were also accused.

True Names, the parent company of ENS, announced that they have regained the domain name with the injunction of the Arizona Court. Stating that the eth.link domain name is online and all users can use the service again, the company stated that they will offer this domain name to its users as a bridge. ENS founder Nick Johnson said the company was satisfied with this result.
