Competing alone with the iPad series for a long time, Samsung achieved serious success with the Galaxy Tab S series. The Galaxy Tab S6, which came out in 2019, and the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, which came later, soon became one of the most popular tablets in the Android world. Tablets that still receive update support have received a new software update.
It comes with the taskbar
Galaxy Tab S6 and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite received the Android 12-based One UI 4 update earlier this year. Devices are now getting the One UI 4.1.1 update. One UI 4.1.1 comes with Android 12L style taskbar. Additionally, the update introduces new gesture options for multi-view and Pop-Up windows.
The update introduces new background effects for regular and Google Meet calls, an optimized search engine for files, refreshed wallpapers, and lock screen customizations. Samsung Keyboard also has renewed features with the update. One UI 4.1.1 has the same features on both devices, but the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will not have Bixby Vision’s optical character recognition. Galaxy Tab S6 comes with the August security update, while the S6 Lite comes with the September security update. Both devices have started to receive the update in some European countries.
