Intel, which has been using the nomenclature Core for mainstream computer systems and Pentium and Celeron for cost-oriented systems, is going to a different name in the new period.
Intel Processor nomenclature coming
Intel announced in a statement that it has put an end to the Pentium and Celeron namings that have become iconic for years. Starting from 2023, these processors will continue on their way with the Intel Processor nomenclature. Low-budget processors of Intel Raptor Lake and Intel Meteor Lake architecture will be gathered under this name.
Intel Arc is not ending!
We’ve seen plenty of Celeron processors, especially in low-priced laptops. After that, it will appear in the form of Intel Processor. The company states that there will be no changes in performance and architecture. So there is only a change in the naming side.
