Software methods will be used instead of physical keys

Known for its close sources in the mobile world, OreXda shared important information about Samsung’s future phones. Allegedly, Samsung is considering completely destroying the physical keys on its phones. Thus, on/off and volume controls on phones will be managed entirely by software. OreXda stated that this plan won’t happen anytime soon and the Galaxy S25 could be the first Samsung phone without a physical key.

Similar statements have been made for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 before, and the company has many patents pointing to a keyless phone, but it is hard to say if we will see a real physical keyless phone. OreXda also stated that the Galaxy S25 model, which does not have a physical key, may be a special model for the KT operator in South Korea. We hope Samsung does not abandon the physical keys without producing flawless software solutions.
