WhatsApp, the world’s most popular instant messaging application, has released a new update for iOS users today. With the new update, iOS users got some radical changes and innovations that will improve the WhatsApp experience.

The most important feature that came with the update, which was available on the App Store with the version number 22.19.75, was to increase the message deletion period to 2 days or more. Users will now be able to delete the messages they sent but want to delete for some reason, within 2+ days after sending this message. The exact time was not disclosed by WhatsApp.

What’s new with WhatsApp’s iOS update:

  • You can now sort your chats with the “unread” filter. (Tap the filter icon on the Search screen to use)
  • You can now “delete for everyone” messages for more than 2 days
  • Group participant limit increased to 512
  • Maximum file size limit increased to 2GB
  • Now you can undo the “delete for me” action in a few seconds.

How can you get back messages that you deleted yourself?

When you accidentally delete the messages you sent with the new update on WhatsApp, you will be able to undo this deletion until a few seconds after deleting the message. For this, a button in the form of an ‘Undo’ button will appear next to the message you deleted.
