Two industry analysts suggested that Apple might rename the top phone in the iPhone 15 series not as the iPhone 15 Pro Max, but as the iPhone 15 Ultra. Analyst Mark Gurman said it would make sense for Apple to rename its high-end phone to “Ultra” instead of “Pro Max”. He said renaming would be much simpler and would better fit Apple’s latest naming strategy, as the company has reported on M1 Pro, M1 Max, and M1 Ultra Mac chips.
A day later, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo tweeted that he believes Apple will create more differentiation between the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 standard models to increase Pro shipment distribution and the new iPhone ASP.
Although no such statement was made by Apple, the words of analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in his tweet, which will start to make a difference between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro, strengthened the claims.
