Apple TV+ app is already available on many TVs. While the company offers this service especially for its new models, it has now taken action for 2016/2017 model LGs. The US-based manufacturer has recently started rolling out the Apple TV+ app to older LG webOS TVs.

The Apple TV + application, which contains various content such as series and movies, was not supported on LG’s older models for a long time. However, surprisingly, Apple today launched its popular app for 2016/2017 LG TVs.

As is known, the standard Apple TV app was only available for 2018 and newer LG webOS TVs. Now, models under 2018 will also be able to run the Apple TV+ app. So how does Apple’s application for LG differ from the standard?

Apple has reduced some features in its application for 2016-2017 LG TVs. The ‘Watch Now’ and ‘other iTunes Store’ tabs have been removed from these. Therefore, in the upper part of the application only; ”Apple TV+, Search and Settings tab left.

Apple TV+ can be used on LG TVs based on webOS (2016/2017), as mentioned above. However, the app lacks some of the functions found in high-end TVs. The version offered for older LG TVs comes as a simplified version, while the new models have all the features in the current application fully-fledged.
