As people who are interested in space, we are a bit disappointed as the Artemis Moon missions are canceled and it is not known when the launch will be attempted again. While the whole world is talking about Artemis missions right now, China has already started its own Moon studies.

The Chinese National Space Agency, which we can call China’s NASA, announced that they will go on 3 Moon missions, which they have not yet named, in the next 10 years. Of course, these Moon missions will be done as a competitor to the USA. So why does China want to go to the Moon?

China has announced that it has found a new Moon mineral.

This mission announcement by the China National Space Agency comes just after China’s Chang’e-5 Moon mission. In this Moon mission, China announced that they had discovered a new Moon mineral they named Changesite-(Y). Defined as a kind of transparent columnar crystal, Changesite-(Y) is said to contain helium-3, which is thought to be used as fuel in the future.

In the next 10 years, China plans to organize 3 more missions to the region where they found this Moon mineral. The interesting thing is that the US space agency NASA is targeting the same area on the Moon. This brings to mind a possible Moon war between the two countries. Let’s see what we will see when the Artemis mission starts successfully…

Do you think China may have actually discovered the energy source of the future on the Moon? What are you thinking? Please do not forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
