Natasha Exelby, the announcer who was dismissed from her job because she didn’t realize she was on the air in 2017 while working on ABC channel in Australia, is now on the agenda with her worst experience in matchmaking applications.
Exelby, 32, an announcer for Channel 10, told the 2Day Fm radio channel that he once matched with an ISIS militant on the matchmaking app Tinder. “I was stationed in the Middle East a few years ago, on the Turkey-Syria border. I signed up for Tinder. You know, when I’m a war correspondent, these are normal,” said Exelby, who burst into laughter. But I stumbled upon an ISIS militant!” used the phrases.
“It wasn’t written in his profile, he said what he was doing when the subject came up with professions.”
When Exelby said, “He was attractive,” one of the presenters interrupted, “Did it say he was an ISIS fighter in his profile? What did his job look like?” asked. Exelby said, “No, of course he didn’t. But when we started talking, we always said to each other, ‘What do you do?’ You ask. He told me what he does,” he continued.
Reminding that the user must provide a reason when trying to disconnect from the matched profile, Exelby said, “After all, there is no option ‘The person I matched with is an ISIS militant’, right?” he laughed.
