  • Urgent Action: A call or text opens the door to fraud, saying it’s urgent that you take immediate action to continue your vehicle’s warranty coverage.
  • Fake Fact: An outside company is asking for money by offering to extend the factory warranty in a way that only the vehicle manufacturer can do.
  • Scammers: Scammers may ask for money by implying that they work for a company you know and trust.
  • Personal Information: Requests for your Social Security number, driver’s license number, or credit card information are sure signs of fraud.
  • Method of Payment: If you are asked to pay with a gift card or cryptocurrency, it is a scam.
