Jeep, one of the important names in the SUV world, announced its plans for the future as part of an event called “4xe Day”. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the three new all-electric SUV models. Let’s take a closer look at Jeep’s models called “Wagoneer S”, “Avenger” and “Recon”.
Let’s start with the Jeep Recon first. Because this electric SUV is a completely new car. In fact, if you follow the Jeep brand closely and are familiar with the Wrangler model, the Recon will also look familiar. Because both models adopt the same design language. However, the Recon is an SUV built on a platform called “STLA Large”, which we also see in the Wagoneer S.
Introducing the Jeep Recon
When we look at the overall design of the vehicle, we see that the most general design language of the Jeep brand is preserved. The clearest example of this is the grille and headlight design. However, since this vehicle will be of an electric structure, the closed grill design is preferred and the grille area is supported by LED lighting. Just like the Wrangler model, the rear of the Recon, whose doors are removable, has a spare tire look.
Jeep officials did not reveal all the details of Recon’s interior design. In addition, the technical details of the vehicle were not mentioned much. However, according to the company, Recon will appear as an off-road vehicle worthy of Jeep. Detailed information about Recon, which is planned to be released in 2024 and as of next year, is expected to be shared in the future.
And here comes the Wagoneer S
Just like the Recon, Jeep’s other all-electric model, the Wagoneer S, which will be released in 2024, has a structure that is quite far from the company’s general design language. The company now seems to want to capture not only off-road enthusiasts, but also consumers who want to drive SUVs in the city. Because the Jeep Wagoneer S seems to be a serious competitor to the C-SUV vehicles on the market.
Wagoneer S, which has a very stylish design, seems to attract attention with its thin strip LED and lighting, door handles embedded in the body, colored roof and rear lights supporting the headlights. Jeep officials did not give technical details about this model. However, it is claimed that this SUV will be powered by a 600 horsepower engine, complete 0-100 km / h acceleration in 3.5 seconds and have a range of around 650 kilometers.
This is what the Jeep Avenger will look like
The Jeep Avenger, on the other hand, will be the smallest SUV model the company has introduced to date. Launched as an urban SUV with modern lines, the vehicle will be sold in countries in the European market. However, it will not enter the US market. This statement of Jeep makes us think that we can meet Avenger earlier than Wagoneer S and Recon in our country.
