Pos Malaysia, a Malaysian postal delivery company, has launched the country’s first NFT stamps.
Although NFTs have declined since the first quarter of 2022, they continue to remain popular. NFT, which attracted great attention especially in North America, started to become widespread in Southeast Asia as well. After the Thailand Post collection, another step for NFT stamps came from Pos Malaysia.
Pos Malaysia, Second Country to Issue NFT Stamps in Southeast Asia
Pos Malaysia has issued the country’s first NFT stamps, making it the second postal service provider in Southeast Asia after Thailand to do so.
The initiative is similar to the United Arab Emirates project, which previously issued NFT postage stamps to commemorate its 50th National Day. The Malaysian postal company states that the initiative is a collaboration between the group and local retail brand A Piece of Malaysia (APOM) as part of the Empatbelas project, with National Day of 31 August and Malaysia Day 16 September.
Produced in collaboration between Pos Malaysia and local retail brand APOM, each stamp folder contains a physical stamp sheet of 14 stamps. The set also comes with three envelopes, three postcards, a specially designed folder and a user guide for using the free NFT stamps.
