The National Basketball Organization (NBA) has partnered with the National Basketball Players Organization (NBPA) and NFT-based sports gaming platform Sorare.
In partnership with the NBA and Sorare, the first officially licensed free-to-play NFT-based fantasy basketball game will be released in the fall.
NBA Partners with Sorare for NFT Based Gaming
The NBA teamed up with Web3 startup Sorare to release an officially licensed NFT fantasy basketball game. As part of the multi-year agreement, Sorare became the NFT Fantasy Partner of the NBA.
The game is also being created in partnership with the NBA and NBPA. It is stated that the game developed with this wide partnership, which allows all subjects related to the NBA to be freely handled, will be released in the autumn months.
Users will be able to buy or sell blockchain-based playing cards for free on Sorare’s official marketplace via auction. Like the current card system sports games on the market, players from all positions are required for the squad on this platform. The card scores of the NBA players that users want to include in their squad will be arranged according to their statistics in the real league.
