LG Electronics has launched LG Art Lab, the NFT platform that users can access from their smart TVs.
Earlier this year, LG announced it would add NFT platform features to its smart television products, following a similar move by rival Samsung Electronics. The company, which has not disconnected from the crypto industry, is also preparing to launch the Hedera-based crypto wallet application. LG has unveiled the NFT platform, which brings the two systems together.
LG Electronics Introduces NFT Platform Art Lab
LG announced about 8 months ago that it would include NFT features in its smart televisions. The company introduced LG Art Lab, the NFT platform that allows users to discover, buy, sell and trade NFTs on LG’s smart televisions.
The platform is only available to people with LG TVs running webOS 5.0 or later in the US and can be accessed directly from the home screen.
LG Electronics has partnered with Hedera to offer an app that allows users to purchase NFT through LG’s crypto wallet for smartphones, Wallypto.
According to a statement made by LG, Hedera allows users to trade for less than $0.0001 per transaction. This reveals that there are no hidden costs associated with the NFT platform.
