10 different categories to celebrate the beauty of visual storytelling
Unlike other competitions, Huawei encourages participants to explore different perspectives, formats and lighting conditions. Encouraging users to discover the diversity and beauty of life, NEXT-IMAGE 2021 has 10 different categories. Perfectly matching Huawei’s strengths in smartphone photography, the categories encourage users to make the most of their device’s innovative capabilities while telling original, compelling stories through photos and videos.
Portrait: Take self-portraits or portraits of others that include the subject’s face, whole body, or silhouette.
Monochrome: Use only black and white to capture fun moments, share your emotions or showcase your innovative personality.
Colors: Shape your photos with colors to convey your unique perception and expression in the world.
Seize the Moment: Make sure that the most important moments in life are never forgotten.
Night: Record unique and fleeting moments in low light or dark conditions.
Telephoto: Use the telephoto lens to depict the scenery or convey emotions from a different perspective.
Wide Angle: Use the wide-angle lens to depict the scenery or convey emotions from a different perspective.
Super Macro: Use the macro camera to depict the scenery or convey emotions from a different perspective.
Stories Video: Film stories in less than 15 minutes.
Stories Photo: List 3 to 9 photos to provide a narrative, express emotion, record changes, or highlight a trend.
