Google announced the Android 12L version for foldable phones and tablets last year. Samsung has announced that it will release Android 12L update to Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 models.

Beyond last year’s foldable devices, this update is also speculated to come to the first version of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip/5G and Galaxy Fold.

Having significantly improved the user experience, Samsung brought a renewed taskbar experience to its large-screen foldable devices. It’s also added a couple of new gestures to jumpstart multitasking modes, and the ability to take selfies using the cover screen.

As for Galaxy Z Flip 3, One UI 4.1.1, new feature has been added to the cover screen for better camera controls. In addition, the company also offered features such as quick settings on the cover screen and direct search for specific people.

The Galaxy Watch 4 series will receive the Wear OS 3.5 update along with Samsung’s One UI Watch 4.5 update. Beta testing has been ongoing for this update in the Galaxy Watch 4 series for the past few months, and it is stated that the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro will come with Wear OS 3.5 out of the box.

With a focus on accessibility, the new update offers full QWERTY keyboard support in Samsung’s built-in keyboard app. Samsung also draws attention to the screen themes in the new watches that have been introduced recently.

Still based on Tizen, Samsung has also brought some of these new features to the older Galaxy Watch 3 and Watch Active 2, with two new watch faces and improved snore detection. Samsung has announced that all these updates have started rolling out this week and will be rolled out gradually over the coming weeks.
