The official Shiba Inu Twitter account posted a surprising tweet. The encrypted tweet with only the word “dog” causes controversy among users trying to decipher its meaning. One Twitter user responded with “doge” to the tweet, to which the Shiba team responded as “killer”.

The community is not wrong in perceiving the tweet in various ways. However, it is important to keep in mind that Shiba Inu, a dog-themed token, was launched as a competitor to Dogecoin, or “Doge-Killer.” Recently, many crypto enthusiasts have predicted a “return” for dog-themed cryptocurrencies.
Shiba Inu and Dogecoin rivalry

However, in terms of 24-hour trading volume, Shiba outperforms Dogecoin, according to data from Coin98. Shiba was leading the meme economy with $277 million as the most traded token. In the same period, Dogecoin saw a transaction volume of $244 million. Overall, the trading volume for meme cryptocurrencies was $3 billion.
Shiba Inu unveils first concept art for the metaverse
The encrypted tweet was followed by a post on Shib’s Metaverse WAGMI shrine. This raised expectations in the community even more.
