Lenovo introduced the augmented reality glasses after the virtual reality glasses. Lenovo’s AR glasses are compatible with all Apple’s devices and are expected to be available at a much more affordable price than Apple’s highly anticipated mixed reality glasses.
Design that is no different from normal glasses
Lenovo Glasses T1 has a very simple design that is not revolutionary. You can think of it as black glasses with special lenses. Lenovo describes the product as a personal mobile display solution because it works while connected to another device. The augmented reality glasses do not have anything impressive in terms of hardware. It has two micro OLED panels with 1080p resolution, each of which can display full HD content at a frame rate of 60Hz. Low blue light and flicker reduction available to protect eye health.
No processor
Those who had the chance to experience the first prototype of Lenovo Glasses T1 believe that the brightness level is reasonable, the colors are vivid, and the interface and texts are clear enough. The glasses do not have a built-in processor. Therefore, the glasses must be connected to a smartphone, tablet or computer. It can be connected to devices with a USB-C cable. Lenovo also says there will be adapters for iPhone users.
Price not disclosed
Lenovo’s new glasses will go on sale in China later this year and in select markets in 2023. Lenovo did not provide details on pricing, but it is expected to be under $500.
