Twitter has officially announced that it is testing the “Edit” feature, which has been highly requested by users. The feature, which has been expected for years, has finally entered the testing process, but according to the information received, it may be necessary to pay for this feature.
Thanks to the Edit Tweet feature, whose details are included in a blog post shared by Twitter, it is possible to edit any tweet it has published several times within 30 minutes. Edited tweets will have a timestamp of when they were last edited. Therefore, in this way, readers and followers will be able to understand that the relevant tweet has been changed.
There is a concern of abuse
Paid features coming to Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp
Although Twitter is not as big a social media platform as Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, it is stronger than others in terms of its structure and use in terms of impact. So the Edit Tweet feature can have some bad consequences. Twitter must have this concern, as it is underlined that this feature will be tested by a narrow audience for now. According to the data obtained from here, progress will be made.
Edit Tweet feature will be paid
The Edit Tweet feature will be available to some Twitter Blue subscribers later this month, following the completion of the initial internal tests. Twitter Blue, a monthly subscription system that offers exclusive access to different features, was recently increased from $3 to $5 per month. So you will need to have a Blue subscription to use this feature. On the other hand, Twitter did not give any information about whether it will offer this feature to normal users.
